Toy drive at our last home meet

Just a quick reminder about our last home meet today against Plano West. Warm ups will start at 6 pm and the meet will begin at 6:45 pm.

We are sponsoring a toy drive at this meet. If non booster club members (silver or gold level), bring a new, unwrapped toy, there will be free admission to the meet.

As always, all booster club members will get into the meet free. However, toy donations from all are deeply appreciated!

Come support the Cowboys at the Mansfield Invitational

The Mansfield Invitational, a two-day meet, is this Friday and Saturday at the Mansfield Natatorium. Friday's Diving Competition starts at 1:00pm. The Swimming prelims start at 5:00pm. Saturday's swim finals start at 9:30am.

Expect heavy traffic on Hwy 360 Friday afternoon.

We'll be back!

Well the flamingos flew the coop, but they'll be back! Our flamingo flocking fundraiser was a huge success, generating $10,085 for the team.

A big thank you goes out to the community for their generosity and good humor. Several gave extra because they liked the idea so much, and many were disappointed for not getting flocked at all. About 700 homes in Coppell and Valley Ranch were invaded by our precious pink birds.

Special thanks to all the swimmers and parents who herded the flamingos around for two weeks. And, the Standing ovation goes to Karyn Brownlee who not only discovered the fundraiser, but also facilitated the whole process from dawn till dusk. Thank You!

Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds - It's Not!

At last report, more than 500 pink birds were spotted roaming Coppell and Valley Ranch. While it may be horrifying to some, there is no need to panic; the birds are quite friendly and will gladly move on to a home of your choosing.

We estimate about 700 homes will be affected during the 13 day migration. If your home is flocked, rest assured they're much cleaner than geese!

Updated Meet Schedule

Please note a couple of changes to our meet schedule. There is an additional home meet with Plano West on 11 December, and Districts have been split with Diving on Thursday, 31 January and swimming on Friday, 1 February. Click on the title for a printable hard copy of the revised schedule.

Will you be Flocked?

For 13 nights starting Thursday, 1 November over 50 flocks of Flamingos will be roaming the neighborhood supporting Coppell High School Swim and Dive team. Should you wake up one morning with some strange birds roaming around your front yard, you have several choices (all voluntary of course):

1. For $10 the flock will gladly move on to another home


2. For $5 more, you can find out who summoned the flock to your home in the first place


3. For another $5 you can magically make them appear at a home of your choosing


4. And for another $5 ($25 in all) you can prevent the herd from returning with the purchase of Flocking Insurance (at least for this year)!

Look for a pink envelope with instructions, place the completed form with your voluntary donation (checks only made out to "CHS Swim and Dive") and tape it to your door by 6:00pm. The flock will magically fly off to its next destination.

We hope you will be "tickled pink" by all the birds and support the team as they raise funds for much needed equipment and software. Who will you Flock?
